PVCC names 2018 Distinguished Alumnus

Charlottesville, Va. – January 22, 2020 – Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) seeks nominations for the 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award. Those nominated are PVCC alumni–they have taken a class, earned a certificate or graduated from PVCC–and will have achieved local, state, regional or national recognition for their contributions and success. The nomination deadline is March 15, 2020. The award recipient will be honored at graduation in May.
Charlottesville, Va. – January 21, 2020 – Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is pleased to announce the newest members elected to the Educational Foundation Board of Directors. New members include Bobbie Bruner, Deb McMahon and Robbie Morris.
The PVCC Educational Foundation announces the opening of the scholarship application process for the 2019-2020 academic school year. The June application session is open until all scholarships are awarded for the 2019-2020 academic school year. Prospective and current PVCC students are encouraged to learn more about all the available scholarships at www.pvcc.edu/scholarships.
Piedmont Virginia Community College alumna Patt Hart Keats, of Charlottesville has been named PVCC’s 2019 Distinguished Alumni Award winner. Keats was recognized at PVCC’s 46th Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, May 16.
Keats, a native of Idaho, earned an Associate of Science and General Studies from PVCC in 1982. Dr. Keats also holds a diploma in Radiologic Technology from St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise, Idaho, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mary Baldwin College, and both a master’s and doctoral degree in Counselor Education from the University of Virginia.
